What Is Canadaโ€™s Express Entry Program?

The Express Entry process is one of the easiest ways to immigrate to Canada. The program oversees and processes applications for eligible candidates that want to immigrate to Canada or acquire permanent residency.

It is done online, where applications for permanent residence from skilled workers are processed.

Who Is Eligible For Canada Express Entry Program?

To qualify for Canada’s express entry program, you must meet the following criteria:

1. be below 30 years old

2. be fluent in English or French or both

3. have a university or college degree and

4. have a valuable skill

If you meet these basic standards, you are regarded as eligible to take part in the Canadian Express Entry Program. In addition, candidates who qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), or  Canadian Experience Class (CEC) are also eligible for the Express Entry Program.

What Are The Basic Requirements?

There are things you need to be qualified for the Canadian Express Entry program. They are:

1. You must have at least one year of continuous, full-time practice in your specialty within the last 10 years. Occasionally, part-time experience is also allowed.

2. You must also have completed post-secondary education scrutinized to Canadian standards with an Educational Credential Assessment.

3. You need at least seven CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark). You must provide evidence of a recognized language test in  French or English.

These are the minimum requirements for Canada’s Express Entry Program and in no way ensure you a secure invitation to apply for permanent residency because higher-profile applicants will always be selected over applicants who only meet the minimum requirements. All candidates entered into the pool receive a CRS score, and those ranking higher are selected and given the invitation to compete over those with lower scores.

Some elements that can affect your CRS score include language skills, work experience, age, connections to Canada, and education.

How To Apply For Canada Express Entry Program

The steps you should follow when you are applying for the Canadian Express Entry Program are seen below.

1.    Confirm Your Eligibility Status

Checking if you are qualified is the first step in applying for express entry into Canada. You must confirm your eligibility status before going ahead to create an Express Entry profile.

For this purpose, there is an online tool that generates a series of questions for the applicant. Once your eligibility status is confirmed, you can move on to the next step.

2.    Language Test

After you have confirmed that you are eligible for the program, the next step is to register for a Canadian Standard English or French language proficiency test. As an applicant, you must complete a language test recognized by the state, and the result must be included in your profile.

3.    Get Your Educational Credentials Assessed

For those who received their education outside of Canada, you will need to assess your certificates for a similar Canadian education, which means you will need to submit your ECA report. This step is not required if you’re applying for the Federal Skilled Trade Program or Canadian experience class.

4.    Build A Profile

As soon as you are found eligible for the program, you can begin setting up your profile. You must provide information such as your age, contact information, family composition, identity, educational history, work experience, language skills, and information about your spouse if you have one and other things.

5.    Submit Your Profile

When you have created your profile and filled in the required information, you must click on the submit button, which will automatically send your application to IRCC. Then expect to receive an Express Entry Profile Number and a Job Applicant Validation Code.

If your profile meets all the conditions, you will be included in the express entry pool. It is important to note that arrangement in the express entry group does not necessarily guarantee an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

You will only be invited if your CRS score meets or exceeds the lowest score set by  IRCC for an Express Entry draw.

6.    Regularly Update Your Profile

This is the last step in the process. Continue going through your profile and adding new information as it emerges. For example, if changes occur in your family due to birth, marriage, death, and so on, please update your profile accordingly.

Editing your profile might also improve your points. Like, if you get a new result on a language test or improve your work experience, these additional qualifications can help you increase your points.

Please note that your quick access profile is valid for 12 months. If you are not asked to apply within one year of creating your profile, IRCC will remove your profile from the group.

In addition, your profile could expire within a year if you no longer meet the applicable express entry standards.

We hope your application is successful and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
